Global Village: Staying Alive

Global Village: Staying Alive

Staying Alive is MTV’s multiplatform HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention campaign. The charity awards small cash grants to innovative grassroots HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention projects run by young people across the globe.

As part of the campaign’s World AIDS Day 2009 documentary, the Staying Alive Foundation sent its first male Ambassador, Travis McCoy (frontman of the band Gym Class Heroes) to South Africa, the Philippines, and India to meet with Foundation grantees.

Join the JCC, Tzedek and Staying Alive on World Aids Day 2009 for a screening of the documentary, which is next in a long line of groundbreaking Staying Alive content aimed at engaging and educating young people in the fight against the HIV/AIDS epidemic. We will be joined by members of the Staying Alive Foundation and MTV production team who will be able to talk in depth about the making of the film and the work of the foundation.

Date: Tuesday 1st December

Venue: The Hub Kings Cross, 34b York Way, London N1 9AB
