Tzedek are looking for 12 volunteers to run the Great Manchester Run for Tzedek. The run is a televised run through the best landmarks of central Manchester, and has often featured running stars such as Heile Gabresolassi!

All the volunteers are raising money to support an amazing project in Ghana - that will help young people get training and a micro-finance loan to start their own business.
RAINS - Regional Advisory Information and Network Systems
Empowering young women living in poverty to build micro businesses through teaching entrepreneurial and financial literacy skills.
In Northern Ghana many young people leave school before completion. Even if they complete school, most face unemployment, with their only option being to work in the informal sector or marry an early age. Indeed possibilities for economic independence are minimal. Young people also need a lot of social support to gain confidence and build other social assets that are needed to enable them take on opportunities for self and community development. This project adopts innovative approaches to engage these young women who hold enormous, untapped potential for changing the social and economic future of their families and communities.
The project targets young people aged 15-25 in local communities in the Northern Region of Ghana. In these circumstances, investing in Self-Help Groups (SHGs) led by young women offer viable opportunities for young women to accumulate assets, earn livelihoods at a very early age and contributes towards self development and empowerment.
