Tzedek’s Jewish Global Citizenship Project (JGCP) offers teachers and informal educators a wide variety of free educational resources including activity ideas, lesson plans, social action project ideas and ready to run assemblies.
Why Global Citizenship Education?
Tzedek believes that as Jews, we have a responsibility not only towards our own community, but also towards the wider world. The growing consciousness of the interdependence between our lives and the lives of those living in the developing world creates both the demand and the opportunity to embed development education within the curricula of Jewish schools. Tzedek believes in the importance of helping young people to develop their skills and knowledge in this area, and recognises the need to provide them with the tools to consider the impact of their actions, and to help them take action to make change.
