Join The Campaign!

There are many ways to get involved with Tzedek and start helping those less fortunate than us. Right now, Tzedek is campaigning on Fairtrade.

Buying items which carry the Fairtrade label means that workers involved in the production of the goods:

are paid a decent wage
can invest in community social projects
receive a regular income
given a secure work contract
working in good and safe conditions that comply with minimum health and safety regulations, as well as environmental ones
not forced to work

There are many ways you can join the campaign:

At School

Speak to the catering staff at your school or youth movement machane.
Explain the benefits of fairtrade and encourage them to use fairtrade products when cooking!
Attend your schools council meeting. Put forward a motion for chocolate and fruit sold in the tuck shop to be fairtrade – Divine Chocolate is both fairtrade and kosher, it also tastes yummy!
Update your school uniform. Campaign for your school uniform provider to make their clothes using fairtrade cotton.
Become a fairtrade school

At Home

Perhaps the easiest and most effective thing one can do to make a difference is to buy fairtrade! Set the example and others will follow!
Host a fairtrade party.
Invite your friends over for an afternoon of cooking and eating yummy fairtrade products.
