Social Justice Education

Introducing.... The Youth Movement Resources!

Building on from individual meetings, focus groups and general input from Youth Movements, these resource packs aim to educate in a way that works best for you! Finished just in time for your summer machanot (camps), we hope that these help you and your tzvatim (leadership team) educate your chanichim (young people) on global issues through a Jewish perspective.

The issues covered are:

Human Rights

Food Security

International Trade

Environment

Education

Modern Slavery

Included in each pack is the background to the issue, the Jewish view and various Jewish texts. Also included are useful websites and interesting games or activities that you can use in your peulot (activities).

With all the figures, facts and Jewish texts in one place, as well as a carbon rationing peula (activity) for camp, this is a great way to introduce tracking carbon footprints to your chanichim (members)

Edible Garden Resource!

This booklet will give you basic guidelines on starting your own edible garden and use it as a learning tool. It's chock-full of Jewish texts, chevruta learning and resources.

Purim & Trade Choveret

This resource uses the opportunities presented by the story and practices of Purim to encourage chanichim to explore how their lives are connected to the lives of those living around the world through their consumer choices with a particular focus on the problem of ethical practice in the clothing industry and the benefits of Fairtrade.
